ICEM 2010 - Rome

ICEM 2010, the XIX International Conference on Electrical Machines now in its 19th edition, has established itself as an influential and recognised international event and is the only major conference entirely devoted to electrical machines where the community of specialists discusses the progress achieved and the future developments in technologies, analysis, design, testing, operations, practical applications, maintenance and teaching in the field of electrical machines.
The conference is sponsored by the main societies of IEEE: such as IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society, IEEE Industrial Application Society and IEEE Power & Energy Society.
Lafert takes the opportunity to present at the conference its latest news that show our ability to introduce innovative technologies and adapt production to specific demans: the High Performance Motors (HP), the combination of technologies benefits performance and efficiency.
- Speed control of PM motors saves up to 80% energy
- Will meet efficiencies to the future IE4 standards
- Same power size half weight compared to AC motors
- By applying Drives extends the control performance
The Lafert Group has merged AC and Servo motor technologies into a new cost optimized range of High Performance (HP) Permanent Magnet motors. Since Drives are needed to speed control PM motors, OEMs have the possibility to extend their value proposition and secure product functionality further down the value chain.
Also, mechanical adaptation of the motor is often needed, so Lafert offer customization to enable integration of the motor deeper into the application.
Lafert will be able to deliver Drives controlling standalone PM motors (HPS range) or Drives integrated into the PM motor (HPI range).
